Two large ancestor portraits, ink and colour on paper, the lady depicted wearing an elaborate dragon and phoenix headdress and a red robe with a "mandarin" badge denoting rank, seated in a blue silk draped armchair, the gentleman wearing a fur lined hat and fur lined blue robe, seated in a red silk draped armchair.  China, Qing Dynasty, late 19th century.  Both framed in simple Chinese style hardwood frames with central pierced bronze hanger.

    Condition:  Both with losses, the male portrait with one small restoration (visible on image) to the border of his inside robe, also slight bowing.
