Mahogany hall chair, the shaped back splat pierced with a carrying handle and profusely carved in low relief with fruiting grape vine, the curved top with lappet  borders above an inlaid ribbon border, the central oval cartouche also inlaid. The back is morticed through the seat and secured with wooden pegs. The tapering rectangular seat with a curved front edge also with a carved border and inlaid with similar ribbon design and with a circular central inlaid cartouche, raised on rectangular section legs united by rectangular stretchers. English Estate Made,  early19th century, circa 1815
