A realistically carved figure of the Christ child, his arms outstretched in blessing and holding in his left hand the sacred heart.  Traces of the original gesso and polychrome decoration.    Probably North Italy, circa 1700.

Condition:  Losses to the toes and fingers, originally decorated with polychrome over gesso now only traces remain.
