Small flared conical bowl, the glazed exterior with geometric abstract designs in shades of black and grey, the interior also glazed, the unglazed footrim bearing the incised artist's mark JAMARTIN

James Arnold Martin was born on 10th October 1931 in Southsea.  He was a  prolific artist, teacher, skilled painter, theatre designer, ceramicist and potter, as well as serving as a British spy and was an active supporter of the Terrence Higgins Trust.  He died Jon 18 October 2015
