Ivory painted armchair, German mid 18th century
Ivory painted armchair of generous size, carved in the manner of Johann Michael Hoppenhaupt, the back surmounted with a floral medallion, the central splat pierced and carved with geometric shapes, the downswept arms with stylised leaf terminals, raised on four cabriole legs terminating in hoof feet.
