Oak foot warmer or "stoof" of  hexagonal form decorated all over with low relief carving, the top decorated with a pierced interlaced knot motif and retaining the original iron handle, above six panels carved and pierced with double headed eagles, one of the panels hinged, opening to reveal the cavity for the charcoal burner (now missing), the foot with carved moulded edge and also carved on the underside, raised on six turned feet. Holland, Friesland, late 18th century
