A tall stoneware vase with mottled glaze in earth colours and decorated with a double line horseshoe shape incised through the glaze, the foot with the original potters label and price label.  Alan Walllwork, British Studio Potter, 1931-2020.

Height: 21.25 cms/8 1/4 inches

Alan Wallwork is best known for his natural / organic inspired work. His art is in the tradition of exciting and experimental hand built ceramics which grew up around the Central School and Goldsmiths College in the 1950s. 

Condition:  Although marked as a "second" by the potter, the vase is in excellent condition with two glaze firing faults, one visible in the image, the other on the reverse.
