Giltwood mirror with the original foxed mercury mirror glass, the frame carved with a classic lappet border, the four corners with floral motifs within square cartouches, the top surmounted by a pierced cresting incorporating a globe, a pair of dividers, a set square and a quiver of arrows (possibly of Masonic significance), the sides with applied carved sprays of foliage, France, Louis XVI, circa 1780
Condition: some restoration to the cresting. Original gilt, mercury glass plate, and wooden back boards.
