A shallow asymetric bowl, the exterior with a mottled cream glaze, the interior with a thick green/blue running glaze puddling in the well of the base with a glassy finish, the uneven rim unglazed, the foot with a faint incised W. Alan Wallwork 1931 - 2019
Alan Wallwork is best known for his natural / organic inspired work. His art is in the tradition of exciting and experimental hand built ceramics which grew up around the Central School and Goldsmiths College in the 1950s.
