Pair of good sized giltwood reflectors/mirrors, the frames carved with acanthus leaves, the crest carved with a spray of acanthus leaves forming at the bottom a mannerist mask and surmounted by a flower in full bloom, the lower part of the frame, originally holding a sconce, pierced and carved with a scallop shell. Southern Italy, late 18th century.
Condition: The original gilding showing signs of its age. Minor losses and repairs. Mirror glass old but not original. Candle holders missing.
