An oak close-stool of plain form, the hinged rising top with a moulded edge, the sides with gilt bronze carrying handles, raised on shaped bracket feet. The interior with the original bucket retainer (this can be removed if required). English, George III, circa 1780
These make excellent occasional tables, either for drinks or lamps.
