Pair walnut chairs known as sgabelli, each of trapezoid outline, the back uprights terminating with foliate scrolls and united with two shaped splats carved in relief with stylised foliage and a coat of arms, the shaped seats with moulded edge, supported on straight square section legs united by two shaped carved splats at the front. North Italy, circa 1660
Condition: Excellent colour and patina. Historic woodworm recently treated.
